Six Junior Turbo’s selected to represent London
Six Thames Turbo Junior triathletes have been selected to represent London against triathletes from around the UK. Anna Smail 12, Freya Thomson 13, Phoebe Fennell 11, Louis Wright 12, Alice Patterson 13 and Jacob Patterson 12 will all race in the London team for The Inter Regional Triathlon Championships to be held on the 22nd of August in Nottingham. With London taking a team of 12 the Teddington and Twickenham based juniors make up half the members of the team with the other half being selected from the 15 other triathlon clubs with junior sections in London. Mob Match WIN over FulonTri A lively turnout of Turbos and FulonTri arrived at Bushy Park Parkrun 5km, Saturday 13th of December for the annual mob match between the friendly rivals. Turbos took home the trophy - yes there is now a real dinkum trophy - in what is always a close and convivial affair. This year we sent 77 Turbos to Ful-ons 53. Results can be found here.
Thames Turbo is now StarMark and Club Mark accredited
Months of hard work behind the scenes by the Thames Turbo committee has resulted in us being awarded both the Star Mark and the Club Mark accreditation. Triathlon clubs in England and Wales can work towards achieving one of a number of recognised standards. These standards establish that the club is operating to best practice and is a safe and effective place to take part in triathlon.
